Authorities continue to investigate the disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, who vanished from her Catalina Foothills home in the early hours of February 1. Investigators previously documented signs of forced entry, blood evidence inside the residence, and the unexplained shutdown of exterior security systems. Her phone, wallet, and prescribed medication were left behind — details officials say strongly indicate she did not leave voluntarily.

In the latest search development, a thermal-imaging drone deployed over rugged canyon terrain several miles from the estate reportedly picked up an intermittent electronic signal. According to sources familiar with coordinated search efforts, the frequency signature matched a micro GPS component believed to have been embedded in a  necklace Nancy regularly wore.

Search teams triangulated the signal and reached the remote location shortly after the aerial confirmation. However, law enforcement officials stress that Nancy Guthrie was NOT located at the scene. Investigators recovered electronic components consistent with a tracking device, but there was no verified sighting of Nancy herself.

Officials are also addressing misinformation circulating online. An image appearing to show Nancy bound at the canyon site has been widely shared on social media.
