The Duke of Cambridge (39) and the Duke of Sussex (36) are expected to put all tensions aside to hold a ceremony to unveil a statue of their late mother, Princess Diana, on July 1 at Kensington Palace, to mark her 60th birthday.

However, according to royal biographer Hugo Vickers, any attempt to reconcile with his brother in London would likely leave Harry with an explanation from his wife when he returns to his nearly $15 million mansion in Montecito, California, USA.

Speaking to  Express  about the possibility of resolving tensions between the two princes, the royal biographer said: “I don’t know what they can do in the current situation. Harry has to wake up to understand what’s going on. It’s a very uncomfortable situation and I don’t think this week is the right time to heal. Harry is under Meghan’s control. So healing can’t happen until he’s free from that manipulation.”

“He’s on his wife’s side. But vilifying his family doesn’t help. It’s a scary situation. You have to remember, Harry has to go back to his wife in Los Angeles. If he starts to make peace, will he get his head chopped off?” Vickers added.

At the same time, the royal biographer does not think Prince Charles will intervene in this matter. The 72-year-old prince will let his two sons solve their own problems. In addition, Charles will not attend the unveiling of the statue of Diana and does not plan to meet Harry during his youngest son’s homecoming.

Not only that, Vickers also believes that the tension between the two brothers is likely to overshadow the event honoring Diana. People will focus on observing the two princes’ every gesture and action together instead of paying attention to the true meaning of the ceremony.

This is the first time Harry has returned to the UK and spent time with his brother since the funeral of his grandfather, Prince Philip, at Windsor Castle in April. Harry’s wife, Meghan, did not attend either event. She is currently staying at the mansion to take care of her two children, including her first son Archie (2 years old) and newborn daughter Lilibet (over 3 weeks old).
