Kate Middleton returns to Royal Garden Party in butter yellow dress and her wedding earrings
Kate Middleton is back to her Buckingham Palace hosting duties.
Joined by husband Prince William, the Princess of Wales attended the Royal Garden Party for the first time in two years on Tuesday, clad in an Emilia Wickstead dress ($1,790) in the color of the season: butter yellow.
She topped her cheery look with a floral Philip Treacy hat in the same shade, and accessorized with Gianvito Rossi slingback heels and a Forever New clutch.

The mom of three added a sentimental touch to her outfit as well, wearing the Robinson Pelham earrings her parents commissioned for her wedding day on April 29, 2011.
The diamond design features a swirling leaf motif surrounding an acorn, drawing inspiration from the Cartier Halo Tiara — which the princess also wore down the aisle — and the Middleton family’s new coat of arms.
Unlike some of her go-to royal jewelry, Middleton hardly ever brings the Robinson Pelham sparklers out of the vault; she previously wore them in 2016 and 2019.
The Princess of Wales last attended the Royal Garden Party in 2023, having missed last year’s event due to her cancer treatment.
Prince William wore a top hat and tails for today’s event, adding a pale blue vest and red tie to his dapper look.
Other royal family members in attendance included Princess Eugenie and Zara Tindall as well as Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh.Today’s eye-catching yellow dress is somewhat of a style departure for Middleton, who’s been favoring more muted earth tones in her wardrobe lately; still, the princess tends to go bright for the Garden Party.Welcome back, Kate.
