Prince William “Furious” at Being “Ambushed” by Prince Andrew at Royal Funeral
William’s friend called the situation a “disgrace.”
Prince William is “furious” about being seated near Prince Andrew at the Duchess of Kent’s funeral.
William and Kate attended the funeral on September 16.
William feels he was “ambushed” by seating arrangements that had him photographed next to his disgraced uncle.
Prince William and Kate Middleton just attended the Duchess of Kent’s funeral alongside King Charles, and apparently William was “furious” at being seated by disgraced royal Prince Andrew—not to mention being captured next to him in multiple photos.
A friend of William’s called the evening a “disgrace” to the Daily Beast, revealing he was “furious” at being “ambushed” by his uncle sitting behind him. His body language says it all, as William was photographed looking pretty upset in multiple angles.
Royal expert Hilary Fordwich recently told Fox News that Prince William will deal with “the Andrew problem” once he becomes King, saying “Prince William has long had a strained and distant relationship with Andrew. [William holds a] a grudge against his disgraced uncle. Andrew’s future within the royal family is beyond bleak, since Prince William is firmly opposed to any public rehabilitation with no foreseeable path back. He wants Andrew to vanish from public view.”
She added that “William’s strong stance on ‘the Andrew problem’ is consistent, unwavering and his influence has been decisive in ensuring Andrew remains sidelined. He is driven by his desire… to protect the monarchy’s reputation, doing all he can to safeguard its future. [William is] very in touch with the public. Every public opinion poll has Andrew at the bottom, reinforcing Prince William’s stance. Once king, no doubt, Prince William will ensure Andrew is completely excluded from royal life, as well as all public appearances.”
