“Looks so bizarre,” a royal pundit claims
The sight of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry twerking in video footage will only distance them further from the royal family, an expert claims.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams has exclusively weighed in to Royal Insider on the controversial booty-popping clip featuring both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shaking their respective things.
The video, which portrays the heavily-pregnant Meghan and hubby Prince Harry awaiting the arrival of Princess Lilibet in hospital four years ago, has been condemned as “vulgar” and “unnecessary attention-seeking” by detractors.
Mr Fitzwilliams also argued the Sussexes’ social media rules aren’t consistent with their actions.
“They knew the photos which show Princess Lilibet in close up would get worldwide attention. But it is unclear why they are usually reluctant to show their children’s faces unless they using them for promotional purposes,” he added.
‘Far too erratic to be trusted’
An unimpressed Mr Fitzwilliams also questioned the Sussexes’ strategy for sharing their brand messaging.
“The twerking video will become notorious,” he went on.
“They made great play of relaunching with a new [communications] team recently. I can’t believe they consulted their advisors before releasing something that looks so bizarre.”
Pondering the decisions that led the second son of the monarch and his wife to release footage of them gyrating their hips on social media, an incredulous Mr Fitzwilliams maintained any hope of a reconciliation would be squashed.
One has to ask, what planet do both of them exist on?
He reflected: “One has to ask, what planet do both of them exist on? The royal family will simply be confirmed in their view that both of them are far too erratic to be trusted.”

The tune was popular on social media in 2021 with pregnant women boogying on down with their bumps.
Meghan shared in her post’s caption: “Four years ago today, this also happened. Both of our children were a week past their due dates… So when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work – there was only one thing left to do!”

Verdict on Meghan Markle twerking video
Mr Fitzwilliams also feels the footage is at odds with the perception that Prince Harry and Meghan desire privacy.
He told Royal Insider: “The Sussexes howl about privacy, but come out with this. It’s a surreal to release a video which simply looks weird and I can’t see how it fits into the narrative they are supposedly trying to get across, where she is an important influencer.”
