The state banquet celebrates the relationship between Britain and France

EMMANUEL Macron was seen winking cheekily as he chatted to Princess Kate during last night’s glitzy state banquet packed full of A-list celebs.

The Princess of Wales looked elegant in a red gown and stunning tiara as she joined Prince William and King Charles to welcome the French president to Windsor Castle.

There were around 160 guests, among them fellow royals including Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, who were pictured arriving ahead of the festivities.

Mick Jagger and Sir Elton John topped the star-studded guest list last night.

The Rolling Stones’ front man was joined by his fiancee Melanie Hamrick, while Crocodile Rock singer Sir Elton was accompanied by his husband David Furnish for the glamorous royal celebration.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and his wife Lady Victoria Starmer were also in attendance.

The PM was snapped chatting with Lioness and former Manchester United icon Mary Earps.

Actress Dame Kristin Scott Thomas and television’s Fred Sirieix also made the cut.

King Charles and Queen Camilla were then seen arriving alongside their esteemed guests Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron as the festivities kicked off in full.
