According to sources, the sisters are doing their best to keep things together and present a calm front, despite the shock of the situation. One insider described the moment as “catastrophic” for their daughters, adding that they were “in a state” after the high-profile arrest at Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate.

Andrew was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of misconduct in public office and questioned throughout the day by Thames Valley Police. He was later released from custody that evening. Earlier this month, police confirmed they were examining claims that he may have shared confidential government documents with Jeffrey Epstein during his time as a trade envoy.

The fallout is also said to be taking a toll on his former wife, Sarah Ferguson. A source claimed the situation was equally “catastrophic” for her, though she too is said to be trying to put on a brave face. The insider suggested her past financial decisions had now added to the pressure she is facing.

Sarah is reportedly keeping a low profile and is currently staying in the United Arab Emirates, after recently spending a short break in the French Alps with friends.
