BRITISH ROYAL FAMILY ISSUES CERTIFICATE CONFIRMING CAMILLA AS QUEEN: On a seemingly peaceful morning at the palace, a red-stamped document suddenly appeared on the desks of key figures—a certificate so formal, so delicate, and so important that no one dared touch it until Charles opened it himself. Camilla stood beside her, her hands clasped together, her eyes revealing an emotion no one could fathom: pride, hesitation… or fear? Charles read each line, then looked up at his wife with an indecipherable gaze. No one said anything. Even William, upon entering the room and seeing the document, paused for only half a second—as if understanding that this moment would change more than the text indicated. But the real turning point was not the certificate… but the sentence Charles said very quietly to Camilla as everyone left the room: a short sentence enough to make Camilla pause, enough to make William turn his head, enough to make everyone feel that behind that certificate there was still a layer of truth that had not been opened. And it was that layer of truth that was making the whole Royal Family move silently.

Queen Camilla will soon be renamed Queen Camilla in all Royal documents, when her coronation with King Charles III takes place.

According to multiple sources, including Royal Central and Evening Standard, King Charles III issued a Royal Warrant to replace his wife’s title of “queen” with “queen”. The Royal Warrant is said to state that the title change for Camilla must be updated “in every prayer for the Royal Family in any program of the Church of England”.

Camilla’s new title officially took effect from the time she was crowned at Westminster Abbey on May 6. However, royal documents had already begun the process of editing the new title before that.

Buckingham Palace began calling the king’s wife Queen Camilla when it issued invitations to guests attending the coronation. According to the BBC, Camilla was previously called “queen”, to distinguish her from Queen Elizabeth II (because they both use the word ‘queen’ in English). The coronation is considered the right time for King Charles III to give his wife the title of queen.

Camilla married Prince Charles in 2005. Before that, she had a 22-year marriage to Andrew Parker Bowles and had two children with her ex-husband. When Camilla married Charles, people thought she would only become Princess Consort when Charles ascended the throne because of the scandal of being the “third person” in the marriage of Charles and Diana. But over the years, Camilla gradually won the hearts of the British people.

Last year, the late queen shared her wish that Camilla would be called Queen Consort when Charles became king. “When the time is right, my son Charles becomes king, I know you will give Charles and his wife the same support you have given me. And it is my sincere wish that, when that time comes, Camilla will be called ‘Queen Consort’ to continue to serve the kingdom faithfully,” Queen Elizabeth II wrote in February 2022.

At the coronation, Camilla will wear the 2,200-diamond tiara worn by Queen Mary when she attended the coronation of King George V in 1911.
