Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Step Out at Santa Barbara Benefit — Their First Outing Since the Prince’s Royal Reunion

The event, which raises funds for local fire, police and sheriff departments, was held at Kevin Costner’s oceanside estate

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made a surprise joint appearance at the One805LIVE! concert.

The Duke of Sussex, 41, stepped out for a third year running to the event on Saturday, Sept. 20, this time joined by his wife, 44. The concert, which was held at Kevin Costner’s oceanside estate in California, raises funds for essential equipment and mental wellness programs for Santa Barbara County’s first responders.

This year’s event featured Trisha Yearwood, Good Charlotte, The Fray and more.

Meghan wore a midnight blue sleeveless shirtdress and tan heels for the occasion, while Harry sported a dark jacket, shirt and pants.

The couple’s concert appearance marks their first public outing since Harry’s reunion with his father, King Charles, during a private, one-on-one meeting in London.

The Duchess of Sussex briefly joined her husband onstage at the benefit concert, before giving him a quick hug and then watching from the side of the stage as Harry presented an award to Santa Barbara County Fire Chief Mark Hartwig.

Last year, Prince Harry took the stage at the event to honor Santa Barbara County air support pilot Loren Courtney.

In September 2023, Harry was joined by Meghan at the One805LIVE! fundraiser event.

The Duke of Sussex previously served as a helicopter pilot during his decade in the British Army, flying training missions in the U.S., U.K. and Australia, as well as combat missions in Afghanistan.

Prince Harry is back in California — where he and Meghan moved in 2020 after stepping back from their royal roles — after traveling to the U.K. and Ukraine earlier this month.

The Duke of Sussex stepped out for a series of charity events in his home country and also met with his father for the first time in 19 months.

From there, he traveled to Kyiv, where he showed his support for wounded, sick and injured armed forces members following the more than three-year war there.
