Princess Charlotte captured hearts at Wimbledon this weekend as she joined her parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, for the Men’s Singles Final and shared a tender moment with her mum in the Royal Box.

The 10-year-old royal made a surprise appearance at Centre Court on Sunday, July 13, alongside her brother Prince George, 11, and their parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales.

The family watched Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz take on Italy’s Jannik Sinner in the hotly anticipated Wimbledon match.

Did Princess Charlotte attend Wimbledon in 2025?

Yes, and she stole the show.

While William and Kate’s youngest child, Prince Louis, seven, stayed home, Charlotte took centre stage alongside big brother George.

Wearing a cream dress with navy piping designed by Sarah Burton, the same designer behind her mother’s iconic wedding dress, Charlotte caught the attention of fans thanks to her elegance and sweet behaviour.

Photos and video clips from Centre Court show the young royal animatedly reacting to the intense match between Alcaraz and Sinner, clasping her face in surprise and leaning in to whisper excitedly with her mum, Kate.

At one point, the pair even used handheld fans to shield their conversation from view.

But it was one particular moment that truly stole the show. Charlotte was spotted gently fanning her mum to help cool her down in the heat of the summer sun.

“Aww, Princess Charlotte fanning her mama to keep her cool,” one fan wrote on Twitter, alongside photos of the moment.

Fans quickly filled the comments with praise.

“How sweet,” one fan wrote.

“This is the sweetest!!! Love these two!!!” Another gushed.

A third fan agreed: “So wonderful, caring, loving, and sweet! Charlotte is such a delight, and she loves her mama dearly.”

What is Kate’s role in Wimbledon?

As the royal patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club since 2016, the Princess of Wales plays a central role in the Wimbledon championships.

She traditionally presents the trophies to the winners and attends multiple matches throughout the tournament.

This year marked a particularly meaningful return, as the princess continues her steady return to public life following her cancer treatment last year.

Speaking candidly last week during a visit to Colchester Hospital, the princess reflected on the emotional and physical complexity of recovery.

“You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment. Treatment’s done, then it’s like, ‘I can crack on, get back to normal,’” Kate shared.

“But actually, the phase afterwards is really, really difficult. You’re not necessarily under the clinical team any longer. But you’re not able to function normally at home as you perhaps once used to. You have to find your new normal, and that takes time. It’s a roller coaster. It’s not smooth, like you expect it to be.”

Kate also attended the Women’s Singles Final solo on Saturday (July 12).

Then on Sunday, the Princess of Wales stunned in a bespoke royal blue Roksanda dress, which co-ordinated beautifully with Charlotte’s blue hair bow.

It’s clear Princess Charlotte shares her mum’s love of tennis, and fans can’t get enough of the bond between the pair.
