“The Hidden Heir of Arvendale”

An Original Royal Fiction Story

It was a cold morning in the Kingdom of Arvendale when the royal court was summoned for an unexpected address. The tall iron bells of the castle tower rang — a sound only heard in moments of historic gravity. At the center of it all stood Prince Alaric, firstborn of King Theon IV, and heir to the ancient Emerald Throne.

But today, Alaric was not dressed in royal robes. He wore black. His voice trembled as he faced the noble lords and foreign envoys.

“My people,” he began, “what I reveal today will shake the very roots of this kingdom. But it is the truth — and we can no longer live under a beautiful lie.”

The room fell silent. Queen Maerra clutched the armrests of her throne. The King’s face was pale. Behind Alaric stood a sealed scroll — a DNA test authorized by the Royal Archive, a scroll that contained a secret kept hidden for twenty-two years.

“I am not the biological son of King Theon,” Alaric said, his eyes full of grief. “I was born during a time of war, and to protect the bloodline, my mother — Queen Maerra — made a desperate choice. The true heir… is among you.”

Gasps echoed through the Great Hall. Whispers broke out. All eyes turned to the back of the room, where a young knight, humble in dress but noble in bearing, stood with wide eyes. His name: Sir Caelum Dorne — a soldier raised in the outer provinces, unaware of his royal blood.

A royal guard stepped forward and unrolled the scroll. The seal of the Royal Blood Registry shimmered under the candlelight. The results were clear: Caelum was the son of King Theon, hidden at birth for his protection.

👑 The Kingdom Divided

The news divided the realm. Some nobles remained loyal to Alaric, who had served the kingdom with wisdom and honor. Others declared that only blood, not deeds, could decide the throne.

Queen Maerra wept openly. For decades, she had carried the burden of a mother’s choice — to raise another’s son as the future king, while her real child was hidden away in secret.
