Princess Charlotte appears to have inherited the traits of her strong female family members as she turned 10 last week.
The Royal Family celebrated the special day by sharing a sweet picture of the young royal in the hills of Cumbria.
In the celebratory post, a beaming Charlotte was seen wearing a camouflage jacket with a hiking backpack and her hair tied back – suggesting her taste for the outdoors.
The glimpse into her adventurous lifestyle prompted royal expert Phil Dampier to observe that the Princess is following in the footsteps of her great aunt Princess Anne and great grandmother, the late Queen.
The daughter of the Prince and Princess of Wales has inherited Anne’s spirited attitude and Queen Elizabeth II’s maturity at an early age.
“Winston Churchill once said of Queen Elizabeth that he had never seen such maturity in a child so young, and Charlotte seems to have inherited that trait from her great-grandmother, to whom she bears an uncanny resemblance,” he said.
The expert added that Charlotte has apparently also inherited the late Queen’s “brilliant ability to mimic prominent figures”.
Regarding what she draws from Princess Anne, Dampier noted Charlotte was a “kind soul” with a strong personality and an uncanny ability to “keep her brothers (Prince George and Prince Louis) under control”.
The comparison Princess Anne’s long-held role as one her brother, King Charles’, most trusted supporters.
Dampier’s comments echo those made by designer Amaia Arrieta, who has met Charlotte multiple times, regarding the young royal’s performance during VE Day celebrations.
As the Royal Family gathered to observe 80 years since the end of the Second World War in Europe’s end, Charlotte’s poised demeanour was noted by viewers.
The Princess was seen alongside her mother and father, Princess Kate and Prince William, as well as her brothers George, 11, and Louis, 7.
Unlike her younger brother Louis, who was observed sweetly toying with his father’s RAF uniform, Charlotte remained collected throughout proceedings.
