It’s Prince George’s birthday!
In honor of him turning 12 years old, his parents, Prince William and Kate, the Princess of Wales, shared a new photo of him on their official Instagram account.
In the photo, George poses with his arms crossed on a fence and wears a brown vest.
The caption reads, “Happy 12th Birthday to Prince George! .” The sweet snap was taken by royal photographer Josh Shinner, who recently captured George’s younger brother, Prince Louis, in a photo for his 7th birthday.
George is Will and Kate’s oldest child. In addition to their sons, the couple are proud parents to Princess Charlotte, 10.

William and Kate also shared a video featuring all of their kids for George’s big day.
In the footage, George, Charlotte and Louis pose for photos outside. At one point, George and Charlotte carry Louis and giggle. Then the trio holds hands as they walk through the grass together.
Every year, the royals release a new photo of their kids on their birthday. Last year, Kensington Palace celebrated George’s 11th birthday by sharing an adorable pic of him smiling wide in a plaid blue shirt and teal pants.
Then, in December 2024, George made an appearance again when his parents shared their 2024 Christmas card online.
In the snap, George wrapped his arm around his sister and mother, as Will snuggled up next to Louis.
“Wishing everyone a very happy Christmas ,” the royals captioned the pic.
Last year was also a big one for George, as he got to see Taylor Swift perform on her “Eras Tour” and then meet her backstage in London.
Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who was also there for the event, talked about what it was like to meet the British royals in person.
“They were an absolute delight to me. (I) wasn’t sure if I was supposed to bow to them, curtsy, just be an American idiot and shake their hand,” he said on the June 26 episode of his “New Heights” podcast.
