Princess Charlotte is celebrating with Prince William!
, the royal dad and daughter posted a joint message congratulating England’s women’s soccer team — nicknamed ‘The Lionesses’ — after they beat Spain in the final of the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 in a dramatic penalty shoot-out.
“ you are the champions of Europe and we couldn’t be prouder of the whole team. Enjoy this moment @england,” Charlotte, 10, and William, 43, wrote on instagram, before signing it off “W & Charlotte”
Their video captured some highlights of the night — including a sweet moment of father and daughter bonding on the pitch, as they watched the Lionesses dance a victory jig on the podium surrounded by confetti and streamers.
The England team had gone one goal down to Spain during the first half of the game, but drew level in the second period. With the game still tied after an extra 30 minutes had been played, the contest went to penalties, with England ultimately coming out on top. The team also won the competition in 2022.

William was at the game in his role as patron of the Football Association, the governing body of English soccer. He traveled to the high-stakes match at St. Jakob-Park in Basel, Switzerland, in a show of support for England’s women’s soccer squad, whom he helped send off from their training base. He also traveled to Switzerland for their match against the Netherlands on July 9.
After the dramatic end to the tournament, William joined the officials on the podium to both give his commiserations to the losing Spanish team and personally congratulate the Lionesses — and hug some of those he has known for several years in his official role.
Having his daughter alongside him was special, however. William has previously described his only daughter as a “budding star” in soccer and, in 2022, passed along a message from Charlotte to the national team when he visited them.
“Charlotte wanted me to tell you that she is really good at goal. She said, ‘Please tell them that,’ ” he told the team. “She’s a budding star for the future.”Charlotte also got to meet princesses from England’s opponents Spain – Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía before the kick off.
