Prince Harry was torn apart on TalkTV after reports emerged that his and Meghan Markle’s $100m deal with Netflix is not being continued. The couple signed the five-year deal in 2020, and featured in a number of productions, including a tell-all about their life together, as well as a documentary about Harry’s love of polo.
Meghan also released With Love, Meghan, which is due to have a second season, which won’t feature Harry, despite the reports as it had already been filmed. On TalkTV, presenter Kevin O’Sullivan said to panellists Chloe Dobbs and Ash Gould: “I’ve been saying for a long time that the story going forward with this pair of posers will be financial, and I think I’ve been proven right today.
“It is no great surprise that Netflix have pulled the plug on this massive $100m deal that Sussexes enjoyed. But the fact that it’s now official comes as a bit of a shock to all of us, but not so much of a shock as it is to the Sussexes, who will struggle now financially.”
Chloe replied: “This is completely and utterly humiliating. I don’t know if they will struggle financially, they might not be able to build another pool,” as Kebin chimed in: “They haven’t got any money!”
Chloe swiped: “Maybe Meghan can sell some more jam and that will help them pay the bills. I feel like this is a perfect example of karma. They got their karma for sticking two fingers up to the royal family, trying to throw their reputation under the bus. I feel like everything they do now, they’re desperately trying to get these new deals, it just reeks of desperation.
“I know they did well on the series they put out on Netflix, but I don’t think it’s because people like them, it’s because they were like what’s this hilarious garbage.”
Kevin turned the conversation to Ash as he said: “Okay, Chloe doesn’t know think they will suffer financially, they will. As Ever isn’t bringing in anything.”
