Their daughters have reportedly taken a step back from their father, Prince Andrew, as fresh controversy looms over the Duke of York. The move comes just before the release of Andrew Lownie’s book, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, which promises damaging revelations.

The book is expected to cover everything from Andrew’s ties to a convicted sex offender to an alleged heated argument with Harry, as well as other behind-the-scenes controversies. According to the Mail, the sisters’ decision to keep their distance appears to confirm that the Duke is facing serious fallout over his actions.

A source told the outlet, “They’re keeping a distance from their dad. The extent to which the relationship can recover will depend on what further revelations, if any, emerge.”

From Virginia Giuffre’s accusations to the Chinese spy scandal, Andrew’s controversies have tarnished his image and risked his daughters’ royal standing. Royal expert Ingrid Seward noted that while one of them has always been close to her father, it’s unsurprising that they have not defended him publicly, as showing solidarity would not benefit them.
