William will pair up with his aunt, Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, for The Royal Cornwall Show

William, 42, will be joined by Sophie, 60, when he travels to Wadebridge, Cornwall, on Friday, June 6, for The Royal Cornwall Show. Both he and Sophie are patrons of the Royal Cornwall Agricultural Association, whose annual event features livestock competitions, food and drinks.

William’s father King Charles recently attended the show with Queen Camilla in 2022, where Charles was honored for becoming Duke of Cornwall 70 years ago. While there, the King saw the cattle, sheep and goats on display, and was asked to present the Livestock Inter-Breed Championship Trophies.

The show, which dates back to 1793, is a popular event in the region, pulling in about 120,000 visitors every year.

When they attend the show, William and Sophie are expected to visit the Royal Cornwall Food and Farming Pavilion to sample food and drinks made across Cornwall, including Cornish cheeses, jams, and preserves, as well as gins and other spirits.

William will then visit the Duchy of Cornwall hub, which will promote mental health charities including Pentreath Cornwall Rural Community Charity, Georgia’s Voice, Kooth, Man Down, PAPRUS and Sunrise.

While the Prince is at the Duchy of Cornwall hub, Sophie will visit LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming) and the Girl Guides, organizations where she serves as patron. She will also stop by the show’s Cattle, Pig, Sheep and countryside area.

Sophie and the prince have teamed up in the past, appearing together for The Royal Foundation’s screening of Rhino Man, a documentary about wildlife rangers, hosted by United for Wildlife at Battersea Power Station in June 2023.

Kensington Palace said at the time that Sophie, who is invested in wildlife protection, was “delighted to join the Prince of Wales at the event this evening to show her support for United for Wildlife.”

The bond between the duo was evident in a sweet moment last year, when Prince Edward’s wife placed her hand on William’s back during Trooping the Colour in June 2024. Sophie’s gesture came as the royal family walked off the balcony of Buckingham Palace and into the royal residence’s Centre Room.
